Ray Hayden led
a small group of hikers from the Friends of Tryon Park Daytrippers today.
Rain threatened at first, but soon we were enjoying beautiful hiking weather.
We went up Coyote Canyon first, through oak and fir forest, then down along
the wall in meadows with panoramic views of the east end of the Columbia
Gorge. Unfortunately there was no way to capture the magnificence
of the wide-angle views with my tiny camera. Thanks, Ray, for the
trip. The outing was great!
