Mt. Pisgah

and Howard Buford Recreation Area
May 1, 2007
This is a fascinating area not far from Eugene, Oregon, with a multitude of trails and millions of spring flowers.  Sabine Dutoit and Elaine McWilliams arranged and led this outing for the Friends of Tryon Creek Daytrippers.  We took a clockwise route starting at the west trailhead, then took trail #7 and up to a viewpoint north on trail #3. Afterwards, we returned to trail #1 and went on to the summit of Mt. Pisgah for lunch.  After lunch we took a long loop route using trails #2, #3 and #5 back to our starting point.   Thank you, Sabine and Elaine, for a memorable adventure.
