Smith Rock, Painted Hills, Stein's Pillar

May 19-20, 2007 This was an "El Grupo sin Nombre" weekend, involving a visit to three places-- Smith Rock, the Painted Hills, and Stein's Pillar. We visited Smith Rock first, spent the night at Mitchell, then visited the Painted Hills at sunrise. (Except the sun didn't rise! There were too many clouds.) Then, after a breakfast in Mitchell, the group went on to the Stein's Pillar trail. We finished before it rained very much. [ Click on any thumbnail to view a larger picture ]
