Dancing Rock

October 15, 2009
"Dancing Rock" is a new preserve with unique flora and fauna, and notable geological formations.  We learned what a "kolk" is, today.  It's rather amazing--  a pool carved out of rock by rushing underground (or under-ice) water back in the ice ages.
Fortunately the weather held off in our favor; it did not rain!  Thank you, Sandy Jackson, for introducing us to some of the notable features of this open and rocky area.
